Tactile Art

In the summer of 2024, I developed a process which extracts the light value and texture from a photograph and turns it into a 3d printable rendering, bridging the gap between pixels and touch. This process made its debut at the National Federation of the Blind convention in Florida, the largest gathering of members of the blind and low vision community in the United States. This process was developed with a generous grant from The Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Art, and Redline Contemporary Art Center of Denver. With their help we have succeeded in making visual art accessible for those who cannot see it. I’m happy to announce that I am now offering this service to galleries, museums and other art-centric establishments. You can find out more at Disabled Art.
